Journalling reads: Before I met Mark I used to pretty much only drink squash, I don’t drink tea or coffee and I didn’t really enjoy fizzy drinks but I used to buy diet coke as part of my “breakfast” before work. I never paid much attention to the fact that I didn’t really care for the taste (too sweet) or that the headaches were worse after drinking it. The shop didn’t have a huge selection so it always seemed like the best option. That all changed when I found caffeine free diet coke. I loved the taste, and the headaches were so much better than before. It quickly became my go-to drink especially when I was pregnant with all of my boys. Mark can never understand why I prefer to drink it at room temperature or warm and completely flat. He thinks I am a freak but I don’t care. I don’t like drinking it from cans or with ice in it. It’s great mixed with raspberry vodka!

Journalling reads: At first when we put you into your Santa suit, you were all smiles. You liked the texture under your fingers and sitting in my chair. I was taking photos of you looking adorable and everything was perfectly fine. Then I decided to put the toy reindeer next to you, thinking it would be cute. You completely flipped out and started screaming. You ripped the hat off your head and threw it on the floor. You quickly went back to smiles again, just as soon as the Santa suit was removed!

Journalling reads: Logan wanted to take a ride in the tiny toy pushchair, so he walked up to it and tipped the doll sitting in it on the floor, then he climbed in the pushchair seat and tried to fasten up the straps, All that he was waiting for was someone to make it go. He loved being pushed around in the living room, such a cheeky little monster!

Journalling reads: Since I started scrapping, I have always been jealous of people who get to take lots of autumn photos. Hayrides, pumpkin patches, apple picking and Halloween photos are things that we don’t really have access to. So when we went to chessington I was thrilled to see stacks of pumpkins and hay bales. I was super excited about all the photos I would be able to take, but I never counted on the rain. Luckily for me I was able to bribe you to sit and let me take a few photos of you.

Journalling reads: when you were little and we went to the park, you used to be content to sit in your pushchair and stare at everything going on around you. you loved to go on the swing and have me push you gently. you liked sitting on my lap on the see saw and bouncing up and down. when you got a bit bigger we got a little more adventurous, you started going down the slide on lukas’s lap. the first few times you were a little hesitant but on the 3rd or 4th attempt you decided you liked it. everything changed once you were able to crawl properly and climb like a little monkey. you wanted to chase after lukas when he ran off, you wanted to climb up the slide steps. Lukas was sweet he used to sit at the top of the steps to help you while I stood behind incase you slipped and fell off, the steps are high enough to hurt you. But now all of a sudden you have gotten more daring, you not only want to climb up the steps to the slide by yourself, but you want to slide down the slide on your own too. Your favourite method seems to be headfirst straight down the slide. You love it when Lukas is waiting at the bottom to catch you. that’s bad enough on it’s own but it gets worse. your new favourite trick is on the metal tunnel, you like to use the bars to pull yourself to your feet and lean out through the gap to look at the ground. i am pretty much always worried about you at the park now because you are a little daredevil. luckily there are still a few safe things you like to do at the park. like sitting inside the tunnel and banging and scratching on the metal surface, you like the noise it makes. you love when Lukas pops his head through one side of the tunnel or the other, it makes you scream with laughter. no-one can make you giggle as much as your lala can. i think you are thinking the same thing i am, one day he’s going to do that and get stuck!
