Journalling reads: This year I decided that it would be really cute to dress the both of in Santa suits, for the Christmas photos this year. I have been really sick so I kept putting off making the effort to get you both dressed and take the photos, I just didn’t have the energy to deal with the tantrums from either of you not wanting to have your photograph taken. But we were running out of time to time to get the photographs taken and posted with the Christmas card, so I decided to just do it. As always the two of you were full of surprises, Lukas just needed a little persuasion to look at me and stand still, and Logan drove me crazy ripping his hat off, but the photos are cute!

Journalling reads: You and Daddy wanted to go out together without me. I wasn’t really sure what you wanted to do, so I handed you the camera and told you both to have a good time. I thought maybe you would both go to the park, perhaps you would feed the ducks and I would end up getting some cute photos of you playing. But what did the two of you bring me photos of? Well there were some photos of you sitting on the bus, a construction site that you had seen out of the window and these photos of you enjoying a happy meal in Mcdonalds. I can’t believe that the best thing you could think of to do without me was go for a happy meal!

Journalling reads: Do you remember when Mummy took this photo, because Mummy does. It was during yet another one of those truly horrible school mornings, where I was trying to fight you out of your bed after you had refused to go to sleep the night before. There were a lot of these mornings where tempers were quick to lose and tears just as quick to flow. I remember taking these photos with the intention of being able to show you that this was not the way things were meant to be every single day. It was not a nice time for anyone, I’m so glad that things have changed and for the most part you now go to bed when I tell you!

Journalling reads: Since I started scrapping, I have always been jealous of people who get to take lots of autumn photos. Hayrides, pumpkin patches, apple picking and Halloween photos are things that we don’t really have access to. So when we went to chessington I was thrilled to see stacks of pumpkins and hay bales. I was super excited about all the photos I would be able to take, but I never counted on the rain. Luckily for me I was able to bribe you to sit and let me take a few photos of you.

Journalling reads: Since we were early, to pick up Lukas from school we decided a trip to the park was in order. At first me and Daddy were able to just sit and chat, because you were sleeping peacefully in your pushchair, but the second you woke up and realised where we were you wanted OUT! You have never been on anyone’s lap on the swing because mummy can’t touch the seat, since they are rubber. So Daddy took you on the tire swing. I honestly can’t say which one of you enjoyed it more. It was so cute to watch the two of you!

Journalling reads: I came across this photograph of you the other day, it’s a really old one. I’ll admit if it hadn’t been filed in your folder. I might have thought it was Aidan. I don’t think I have any other photograph where you look so much lke my brother as this one. But anyway I will stop talking about that now and tell you about this photograph. You were wearing Grampy Andy’s reading glasses, I have no idea what it was you found so fascinating about them but you seemed to like wearing them a lot. Personally I am slightly inclined to believe it’s simply because you are a little clown and you knew it made us al giggle. You really suited wearing glasses, it made you look really smart and cute.

Journalling reads: When I was pregnant with Logan, I was so thrilled to have a real little baby bump. I was intending to take bump photographs and scrap my pregnancy journey since we knew my body couldn’t take another pregnancy. But nothing went to plan. I felt so ill all the time, that we only managed this one set of pictures.

Journalling reads: Everytime Nannie Donna went on holiday, she used to take great pleasure in bringing you back some, well I will be nice and say unusual gifts. She seemed to look for the most noisy or destructive thing she could possibly find. This time that happened to be a Power Ranger Baseball bat and ball set. Not only was it a potentially lethal weapon but it made the sound of shattering glass everytime anything touched it. I can’t even guess at how many times, me and daddy came racing down to the garden thinking you had smashed the shed window or the kitchen door. You couldn’t quite get the hang of swinging it at the ball, but we had a lot of fun trying at the park. We soon moved on to mummy and daddy hitting the ball and you chasing after it, like a dog. You are such a funny little boy Lukas.
