Journalling reads: Every time we visit Chessington World Of Adventures you are on the lookout to see if there is anything new to try. When you spotted this new attraction you begged to be allowed a turn. Since it was raining and it was something we had to pay for, we initiallly said no. You kept asking and eventually we gave in. It was a giant pool filled with water, the guys running it helped you to climb inside these inflatable balls and added more air once you were inside. Then you had to run around inside to get the ball to move around the pool. A bit like a hamster ball on water for kids, you had a great time but you were exhausted afterwards 30th March 2011

Journalling reads: Why is it that you always seem to look like a different person when your hair has been cut. Your eyes look bigger and are a different shade of blue, your cheeks look rounder and your ears seem to stick out more. I have always said that you are so much more handsome when your hair is cut short, but I think maybe it’s just that when your hair is longer and thicker you look more grown up and I don’t like it I prefer to see my cheeky little monkey!

Journalling reads: From the very first time that I saw those 2 lines on a pregnancy test, I was waiting for this moment. Holding my newborn baby in my arms basking in the glow of being a new mother. Only it never happened, Lukas was whisked away from us because he was not breathing, I didn’t even get to look at him until he was a few hours old, was a full week before I could touch him. I got to hold Leo very briefly when he was born but the air of total panic surrounding his birth made any special moment between us impossible. Then there was you, placed straight on to my chest in the ambulance, cuddled the entire way to the hospital and then handed to me for photographs and more snuggles in the hospital. Thank you for finally giving me the new mummy moment I had so desperately craved during all 4 of my other pregnancies.

Journalling reads: Our first Easter in our own house did not really go to plan. We held a little Easter egg hunt in the garden but didn’t get any photos as the camera wasn’t charged. All of the baking we had planned never ended up getting done and the decorations never got put up. But the boys did have fun making the Easter masks from the egg hunt kit, even if they didn’t want to colour them in! Silly boys! 24th April 2011

Journalling reads: After a silly lady on the reception desk, a very rude nurse and the sonographer leaving us sitting for ages waiting, it was finally time. The doctors had a lot of fears about you, they were worried that all the bleeding and pain might mean that you were not where you were supposed to be. We were scared that you might be another one of our angel babies. But in less than a minute we had all the answers that we needed. You were exactly where you were supposed to be and you had a healthy strong heartbeat. It was such a relief to know that at least for now, you were ok, we could relax for a little while before there were other things for us to worry about. Once we had that reassurance it was ok to see the funny side to all the little details about the appointment, like the fact that they finally had an alternative to tying a blue nitrile glove around the probe since the covers are made of latex and mummy is highly allergic, they were now using latex free condoms. Or the fact that the poor doctor looked so grateful and relieved that my pregnancy would be handled by the Silver Star Team and he didn’t have to read through my long and complicated maternity notes. Or maybe that in a whole row full of sample toilets, mummy managed to pick the only one without a working lock and someone walked in while I was trying to accomplish the very difficult task, of peeing in the little bottle without getting covered. After our visit was over we were left with readjusted dates based on size, your new due date is August 27th. But I have a feeling if you are anything like your brothers, a due date won’t matter one tiny bit to to you, and you will arrive when and where you decide that you want to, just please don’t choose Tescos! 16th January 2009

Journalling reads: Logan may have only been 8 months old on his first Easter but he seemed to grasp perfectly that these shiny things mummy gave him had chocolate inside them. He had no trouble at all in working out how to rip the foil covering off to get to the chocolate inside. What surprised me most is that he not only got his egg out of the box and out of the wrapper by himself, but he managed to do both and eat half the egg before Lukas opened up the cardboard box on his that’s quite a talent!

Journalling reads: When you came with Mummy to drop off Lukas’s birthday card, you couldn’t wait to run out into the back garden. It was starting to get near your bedtime so we had to make it a quick play. You were fascinated by the trampoline, I don’t think you had seen one before. At first you wanted me to hold your hands and help you jump. But once Lukas got on you were soon bouncing and running around on it. You will have to come and play again soon. 3rd August 2007.

Journalling reads: I don’t know why it is that you have suddenly decided that this green and blue fleece suit with the dinosaur on it is your favourite, but it’s the only one you ever want to wear, and you make a real fuss when it’s not clean!
