Journalling reads: There is nothing that little kids like more than role play and dressing up, unless they get to do those during school time. While you were in Reception at Pegasus, they decided to arrange a pirate picnic at the end of the year. All of the parents were asked to make or buy a pirate outfit and accessories. There was a no swords rule, so we added a little plastic telescope. We had a lovely time at home decorating a treasure chest and filling it with some coloured beads, plastic gold coins and tacky plastic jewellery. We were all invited to come and watch as you all paraded around the playground in your costumes and then stay for a picnic. When you came out you had somehow managed to lose your waistcoat and your eye patch. It was a really fun day for everyone but more than anything, it was lovely that we all got to be included in a school activity, and were allowed to take some photos to remember this special occasion.
